Draft Film Analysis
Oblivion directed by Joseph Kosinski, the film was released on April 11 2013 with a genre of a science fiction. The film Revolves around a character named Jacked Harper, he is depicted as a drone repairman, set on an apocalyptic Earth on the year 2077 that has been annihilated and ravaged by nuclear bombs from a war between humans and aliens, and through the works of fate and the unexpected events Jack was reshaped and transformed when he rescued and met the woman brought by fate which allowed him to remember his locked memories from the past, allowing him to remember who she was. The sky tower which was the main setting for this film and main architectural structure and precedent, this architectural structures serves various purposes whether it is recreational or military support, the sky tower is vital structure within the movie it is based on the Stahl House by Pierre Koenig.

Joseph Kosinski, the creator of the structure and director of the movie, Kosinski was inspired by the Stahl house, hence, noticeable similarities can be identified. Within the Stahl House consist of a colonnade of large window, a feeling of being elevated of the ground, a pool, a vista view from a high view, and the floor plans. Utilizing the characteristics of the Stahl House  Kosinski renovated and transformed parts of structure to enhance the feeling of being a futuristic and modernistic structure, he expanded the floors of the structure to accommodate more people and provide more purpose for the structure.

Kosinski, transformed the Stahl House by creating a control tower for military support and a means of communication between Victoria and jack, but this control tower is also what is manipulating bot Victoria and jack to do their bidding. Kosinski also constructed a Helipad to enhance the idea of flying and structure being elevated off the ground and this also reinforces the idea of a flying object as the only means of transportation within the Sky Tower. Kosinski also similar created a pool which but it was transformed to an infinity pool. Other floors are also added to provide more purposes, such as a floor specifically for control tower, and another floor for a more recreational use and another floor for workshop purposes and this floor are caged with panoramic windows.

Within the film the sky tower was a major contributor to many of the events of the film, the structure is comparable to a puppet master as it controls jacks and Victoria as the medium to do the architectures bidding. I also pictured the architecture as a cage that prevents Jack to revaluate and remember his past identity and this idea of juxtaposition between the two girls Victoria and Julia is reinforced by their reactions between each other as it seems like there is an unconscious battle between them of one trying to obey the architecture, whilst the other trying to defy the architecture, and we can also see this idea of manipulative freedom with all the resources the architecture provides, compared to, where he defied the architecture and Victoria, he found real freedom which can be seen in the forest hideout Jack has created and we can identify his easiness when he spends time in this hideout, as well as, his identity which has been recovered upon the arrival of Julia.
